
HOW DO I PURCHASE A PHOTOGRAPH FROM
WILL IT LOOK GOOD OVER THE SOFA?
Select one or more photographs to purchase, determine the size and frame (if desired), and then put them in your shopping cart. You will then be asked to create a password and log in. Then, you’ll proceed to Checkout. There, you’ll be asked to provide billing information – billing address, credit card, etc. Once we have all the necessary information, you will see a detailed list of your purchases and then you will be asked to authorize your purchase.

We use industry standard SSL encryption, which means your credit card information is secure. For your safety, we do not store your credit card information once a sale is authorized.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Within one business day of placing your order, you will receive an email from our customer service department to let you know when you can expect your photograph. Unframed prints will take up to 4 weeks. Framed prints will take up to 6 weeks. We do handle rush orders and offer express shipping if necessary, at an additional cost. Our Quick Ship framed photographs are ready to ship within 5 business days.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return it within 7 days of purchase along with the receipt for a complete refund. You are responsible for the return shipping costs. Please use a shipper like UPS or Federal Express that tracks packages. You must return the item in the original packaging and the item must be in excellent condition. Please make sure that when you repack it, you don’t get tape on the glass or print as this can cause damage.
If we feel the damage was due to something you caused- like spilling coffee on the photo - we unfortunately cannot give you your money back.

WHAT IF THE SHIPMENT IS DAMAGED?
We need to be notified within 7 days of delivery in order to process a claim with the shipper, so please check your purchase immediately. Please do not discard the packaging materials! You must return the item using the original packaging.
Contact us immediately at info@willitlookgoodoverthesofa.com and we will process a claim and discuss a replacement, refund or credit – your choice. A replacement will be shipped to you at no charge.
WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING COSTS?
We offer FREE SHIPPING for all of our framed and unframed photographs. (Our Alphabet Shop is a separate store and runs through a company called Café Press, so those purchases will be billed for shipping.) We ship via regular UPS. If you need it shipped faster, we will have to bill you for rush charges through another shipper.
SALES TAX
New York residents will have sales tax automatically added to their order.
CANCELING OR CHANGING AN ORDER

If your order has already been shipped, you may simply return it to us. You will be responsible for the cost of shipping. You will be subject to a $20 restocking fee if you return your photograph after 10 days.
PURCHASES FROM OUTSIDE THE U.S.
We are more than happy to take purchases from outside the U.S. and Canada. All duties and border taxes however, are the responsibility of the customer. There are, however, no returns on these purchases. The same applies for items shipped to a location outside the U.S. and Canada. We will advise you of additional shipping costs so please leave us your email address.

The certificate of Authenticity accompanying each image purchase on the site certifies the artist’s authorship, the title, and year of creation.
LIMITED EDITION
The images you purchase are large limited editions. They are produced in a limited number and signed by the photographer. The only exceptions are the alphabet letters and numbers. They are open editions so we can sell them at the most beneficial price to you.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PAPER SIZE AND IMAGE SIZE?
In the photo business, paper size is the dimensions of the paper that the photograph is printed on. Industry standards include 8 X 10, 11 x 14, 16 x 20, etc. The width size comes first; height second. (So for example, 8” x 10” means it’s the width is 8” and the height is 10”).
The image size refers to the size of the image. So when you receive your unframed photograph there will be white borders on it. The borders will vary depending on the image. The reason the photos are printed with borders is because of proportion issues and also for matting and framing purposes. It also helps protect the image during handling.
PRINTING
All Will It Look Good Over The Sofa, LLC., images are printed on archival paper using ultra chrome inks. They have a permanency rating of 70 years.
FRAMING
Our gallery frames are made with the highest quality flat wood and use 4-ply archival matting. All of the frames are 1- 2 inches thick, except for the Alphabet poster frames which are ¾” thick.
They are all framed with plexiglass. Plexiglass is used in most galleries instead of glass because it has UV shielding, is less heavy than glass, and of course, less likely to break and cause damage to the print.
Please be aware that when you see “framed” size, it refers to the outer dimensions of the frame. The image size would be the inner dimensions – the size of the photo.
If you purchase individual alphabet letters framed, the frames are “frameless frames”. These feature a white thin plastic edge and clear plexiglass that pops out so you can insert the photos. They come with a snap-in easel so you can also display them on a table.
WHAT IF I WANT TO FRAME THE PICTURE MYSELF?
Use your creativity to find the right frame for you. However, please be aware that you will have to have a custom mat made from your local framer. While we try to keep our image sizes close to the industry standards when possible, we don’t want to compromise the integrity of the image. It’s much easier to get a custom mat than have the artist crop the image just to make it fit.
Also, to meet fine art standards, please use an acid free (also known as archival) mat to prolong the longevity of your print. Archival mats and tapes are chemically neutral so you won’t have the stains or brittleness often connected with other surfaces.
Please also make sure it is framed properly. The back of the frame should be sealed so moisture doesn’t ruin the artwork.
WHY ARE THE ALPHABET PICTURES PRINTED WITHOUT BORDERS?
Our designers feel that these look best in frames without mats- just for fun. Therefore, they are printed without borders. Also, to keep the costs down, they are printed as large open editions.
You can purchase them with our “frameless” frames. They have a white thin plastic edge and clear plexiglass that pops out so you can insert the photos. Very simple and perfect for a child’s room.
WHY DOES THE “ALPHABET SHOP” LOOK DIFFERENT THAN THE REST OF YOUR WEBSITE?
The Alphabet Shop is really our store within a store. We create the alphabet images and another company, called Café Press, actually makes the mousepads, t-shirts and other products that have our images on them. Hence, the different look and the shipping charges.

CAN I BUY A PHOTO AND THEN USE IT AS ART FOR A COMMERICAL PROJECT I'M WORKING ON?
Will It Look Good Over The Sofa is not a stock photo agency. By purchasing one of our photographs, you are agreeing to use the photograph only for personal purposes – hanging a fine art photograph on the wall in your home or office, etc. Any commercial usage without our consent will be punished under the full extent of the law.
